DataDevQuest Challenges

Challenge briefs, sample files and demos for the DataDevQuest challenges presented at the DataDev Tableau User Group.

DataDevQuest is a global, community-powered initiative for people who want to learn, explore and use Tableau’s APIs and DataDev tools to:

• extend Tableau’s capabilities
• embed analytics into custom applications
• build advanced, automated solutions

Star or watch this repo to get each new challenge and its solution as soon as they land.

Each challenge is introduced at a DataDev TUG meetup. Participants work on it during the month, and a solution is walked through at the next meetup. There is never only one right answer: every approach that works is welcome.

How each challenge folder is organised

DDQ<year>-<month>-<short-name>/
├── README.md    the challenge brief: what to build, levels and how to get started
├── images/      screenshots used in the brief
├── sample/      input files to test with
├── demo/        a live page showing what a finished result looks like (when there is one)
└── solution/    the solution walked through at the next TUG, added afterwards

Folder names start with the DataDevQuest code (DDQ + year + month), so they sort in date order.
